Arun River Rafting
This is known to be a powerful and a famous river which is less travelled and is an easier and shorter alternative to the Sunkoshi. While the rapids are of moderate difficulty this is a rather expensive trip as there is necessity of taking a flight towards Tumlingtar first.

The River
The Arun river situated in the remotest areas makes it one of the less traveled regions making it another name among the most powerful rivers in Nepal. The only visitors here are few trekking groups who take the eastern route towards Everest.

Rafting
Rafting trips here are few each year and quite scheduled. The rafters here recommend the trip to someone who wants to experience white water rafting in big white water river but hasn’t done it before. This river is claimed to be better than the Trisuli river which is also famous for rafting itself. Tumlingtar is considered to be the convenient starting point for people wanting to experience this river raft. You can get to this river from Tumlingtar and finally depart back to Kathmandu from Tumlingtar itself.
